I have recently had the opportunity to learn about VMware’s network virtualization technology namely NSX. I recently passed the VCP6-NV exam based on the 6.2 content. Although it provided a basis for the technology it highlighted some areas where I need to improve further on my skills. Since then I have been looking through the content and blueprint for the VCAP series across the verticals at VMware. Whilst in the NSX mindset I thought it would be worthwhile to further deepen my skills in this area. I still have my NSX Lab configured and working and I won’t need to make any major changes to it to prepare for the VCAP.
So I am going to begin my preparation for the VCAP6-NV Exam and will chronicle my steps through the blueprint and its content along with the Hands On Labs I’m using. Not everyone will be able to stand up a lab environment with NSX because of the high usage requirements it has. I’m fortunate enough to have access some test kit and can set up not only a single lab but also lab a cross-site NSX deployment which will be very useful for the VCAP content.
I will be adding posts dedicated to the sections in the blueprint to provide help for anyone else going through this process.
